Tempesta

Lightning over mountains, lightning over the sea, lightning over the prairie — storm as spectacle, storm as force, storm as something you stand in front of and feel in your chest. From a Blue Ridge afternoon turning violent, to a Florida beach lit by simultaneous strikes, to a supercell bearing down on a Kansas road at dusk. Tempesta is Italian for storm. It felt like the right word.
