The Photographer
The Journey Behind the Lens
Every photograph begins long before the shutter clicks — it begins with a journey.
How It Started
It started with a last-minute road trip west — Colorado, Arizona, Utah — a place I had never been. I picked up a disposable camera along the way, the only tool I had, and it couldn't come close to what I was seeing in those mountains and deserts. The light was different out there. A different quality, a different weight. And the gap between what my eyes witnessed and what I could bring home became the pursuit.
That trip changed everything. Photography became a reason to go further, stay longer, and pay closer attention to the world. More than two decades later, the camera has followed me across the full breadth of the American landscape — and the body of work is a record of where I've been and what moved me.
The Seasons
I've always been drawn to the way seasons transform a landscape. The same mountain looks entirely different under a blanket of snow, in the first green of spring, in the full heat of summer, and in the burning colors of autumn. I chase all four.
Urban photography came later — the discovery that cities have their own seasons, their own light, their own quiet moments hiding in plain sight. Night photography opened up another world entirely: the sky as a subject, the stars as a landscape.
The Work
Every image I make is available as a fine art print. I work with Fine Art America, Red Bubble, and Pictorem to offer prints in a range of sizes and materials — from canvas to metal to traditional paper.
If you have a question about a specific image, a custom print request, or just want to talk photography, I'd love to hear from you.
